Mission Creek School South Bend, WA

Students and staff of Mission Creek School, along with translators, go into the community to invite children and adults to meetings that will teach and inspire everyone who attend. The Gospel work incorporated into everyday life is the focus of this student group. A few children gather for an impromptu children's story. This is just a taste of what is to come.

Today after we had a Bible study with five teenagers, about half of our group went to the prison to visit.  It was one of the highlights of our trip so far.  We passed out many booklets and Steps to Christ and talked to many people about the Lord.  We were invited back on Friday morning to have a service.  At first it was to be only for the women, but then they invited us to speak to both the men and the women.  One man came up to us and asked how to receive eternal life and how did we know the Bible is true. We shared 1John 1:9, that God has promised forgiveness to those that confess their sins and ask for forgiveness.  We told them that God has invited us to "try" Him and that He answers prayer.  Then several volunteers and prisoners got into a circle and prayed a prayer asking for forgiveness and asking Christ into our lives.  It was an unforgettable moment. We have been having an awesome time since we have been here! We started working with a small town called Cross of the South. We will be working in this town for 8 days. it has been a lot of fun, we play games with the children, tell them stories, and do crafts! We are working with the youth and adults also. We are trying to get the youth to interact with other teens, by playing interactive games with them. We have meetings with the adults and tell them stories about Jesus. It has been a great experience so far, and I can't wait to see what the next two weeks has in store for us!
